Architecture and Construction
Architect Victor Gruen designed the twin-tower Wilshire Comstock in 1961 as a modernist, vertical alternative to Los Angeles’s suburban sprawl. The strategic choice to build the towers with views of green spaces reminiscent of Central London is a signature trait of this architect.
The unique building footprint, set back from Wilshire Blvd, with the uphill entry driveway on Comstock Avenue, adds a touch of privacy and sophistication. The positioning, slightly up the hill, provides views of Holmby Park and the Los Angeles Country Club to the north, and south-facing units have elevated views of Century City and Downtown Los Angeles.

Tom’s Read
Perhaps one of the most undervalued assets on the Wilshire Corridor. Although the staff-to-owner/tenant ratio is not as high as in the Tier 1 buildings along the boulevard, the value presented by reasonable HOA fees and excellent access to Wilshire Boulevard and Holmby from the corner location should not be overlooked.
